Bookkeeper job at Countless LLC Remote, US

Job Description

We're looking for a full-charge Bookkeeper to join our team. As our future Bookkeeper, you will work on a portfolio of clients, while intimately getting to know them and their businesses. We focus on building relationships with clients – it helps us help them when we know them and their lives. We work primarily with Xero and QuickBooks Online, and all of our work is done in the cloud. Responsibilities:

Record bank and credit card information in the general ledger via bank feeds in the accounting software
Work with clients to obtain necessary information and supporting documents
Accounts receivable and accounts payable
Bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations
Update work papers monthly/quarterly
Create payroll journal entries
Troubleshoot various software integrations (Xero, QBO, HubDoc, Expensify, Zapier, Shopify, Square, Stripe, etc.)
Payroll oversight via Gusto, including working with clients regarding notices, new hires, and hourly payroll
Sales Tax returns
Keep client files organized digitally

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and basic accounting systems
At least one year of bookkeeping experience in a public accounting or bookkeeping firm, managing multiple clients
Ability to take ownership, while realizing when it’s time to reach out for help
A love for technology and intuitive computer skills
