Job Title: Engineering and Maintenance ManagerJob Description The Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the design, coordination, planning, and implementation of programs related to Engineering and Maintenance. This includes the design and installation of equipment and processes, preventive and proactive maintenance, as well as the operation of plant equipment and tools. Responsibilities + Manage a team of engineers and maintenance staff. + Review and discuss plant processes, equipment issues, and improvement/modification measures related to facility maintenance with Plant Manager and other operations managers. + Develop and maintain a robust continuous improvement program for the efficient operation of plant stationary equipment and manufacturing. + Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to ensure a continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations. + Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and enhance the utilization of labor and materials. + Direct training and indoctrination, conduct performance evaluations, and implement corrective measures to improve employee work performance and familiarize workers with company policies and procedures. + Confer with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment. + Identify areas of improvement and draft departmental objectives to enhance safety and operational efficiency, setting targets for cost reduction. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial). + 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication. + 2+ years of experience managing a team of engineers. + Experience working with industrial machinery, production, manufacturing engineering, operations management, design, troubleshooting, electrical systems, burner, tubing, hydraulics, pneumatics, project management, quality assurance, operations, combustion, water treatment, cooling towers, baghouses, pump houses, and motors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in in-house equipment design. + Ability to create machine documentation and schematics for outdated equipment. + Experience with baghouse regulation. Work Environment This position is based in an outdoor aluminum manufacturing company equipped with large industrial equipment, furnaces, and boilers. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
