Description A well-established nonprofit organization in Vista is hiring an experienced HR Specialist to support their growing team. This role is perfect for someone who understands the nuances of nonprofit HR operations and enjoys being a resource for employees across departments. You'll be responsible for managing employee relations, supporting compliance, and ensuring smooth transitions throughout the employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: + Address employee inquiries related to benefits, timekeeping, and leave policies + Guide staff through onboarding and cross-functional training programs + Support payroll adjustments and timecard reviews in coordination with finance + Manage employee separations and exit procedures with professionalism + Maintain accurate HR records and assist with compliance audits + Collaborate with leadership on employee engagement and retention strategies Requirements + 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in nonprofit or service-oriented environments + Strong understanding of California employment law and HR compliance + Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office + Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
